Mako Paddle Club took it’s first tentative grown up steps and staged its inaugural Wednesday afternoon training session from it’s Currembene Creek HQ.
With 14 intrepid Mako’s on board, Coach Chicki embraced the sweep and embarked on rampage around the creek with a side serving of ‘freak out the Husky afternoon crowd’ with a combo of awesome paddling and relentless stream of exuberant bad language.
“Our numbers are growing every session and I can’t believe how much the JB community has embraced dragon boating and Mako.”
“We are bringing in Friday’s and as soon as we get the boat that Bear destroyed repaired, it will be full steam ahead.”
Inept club sweep Bear was contacted, with no comment other that ‘I am taking the 5th.”
