We’re excited to announce that the Club Jervis Bay sponsored Mako Paddle Club is entering a team in the 2025 Push-Up Challenge, running from June 1st to June 23rd, to raise awareness for mental health and funds for Lifeline Australia. The Mako Push-up Club is going for it!
Each day during the challenge, participants aim to complete a set number of push-ups that reflect hard-hitting mental health statistics in Australia—3,249 push-ups in 23 days, representing the number of lives lost to suicide in 2022.
Anyone can join the Mako team, enjoy the challenge while we support Lifeline – CLICK HERE for all the details.

“At Mako Paddle Club, we believe in the power of community, connection, and physical activity—not just for fitness, but for mental well-being. By joining this national initiative, we’re committing to more than just push-ups. We’re standing up (and dropping down) for mental health.” said recently reconstructed and rearing to go President Simon Katz.
Our team will be tracking push-ups, encouraging conversations, and doing our part to break the stigma around mental health challenges. The funds we raise will be directed to Lifeline, who provide free, 24/7 support to Australians in crisis.
We invite our paddling family, friends, and supporters to get behind the team:
