It’s official. DBNSW has welcomed Mako Paddle Club with the green light coming in super fast time to a very appreciative Jervis Bay club. Thank you DBNSW 🙂
Club stalwart Simon Katz was the first Mako out of the blocks with a celebratory streak down the main street of Huskisson. “I was just walking to get a coffee when I heard the news and the joy I felt just couldn’t be experienced fully clothed.” Katz made bail later in the morning…
In a short nine weeks, the club has gone from a single boat on the beach at Plantation Point, through a series of ‘adventures’ aka Bear tearing the back off the boat, to launching a second boat and location and joining DBNSW.
Mako Coach Chicki was bouncing around a hootin’ and a hollerin, “This now means that we can compete in regattas (competitions) throughout NSW, ACT and Australia. It means we may compete in the State Championships and National Championships, as well as paddle under the AUSDBF banner overseas and there are some plans afoot there too.”
Stay tuned, this salty little outfit is up for shenanigans.
