A Shark is Born
While a whopping 412kg Mako Shark was caught in Jervis Bay this month, something even bigger has been spotted recently. In the crystal blue waters of Jervis Bay, a brand new dragon boating club has swum to life.
Mako Paddle Club is the hottest new thing to hit dragon boating in Australia; paddling out of two locations on stunning JB and bringing together outriggers, dragon boaters and all lovers of water-sports.
How apt that Mako sharks are the fastest ocean shark, managing bursts of speed up to 68km/h. While we would love to reach those speeds one day, for now we are training hard and commencing our season plan for periodised performance. With training now three days a week, we are building to our very first race in the coming month.
If you have not tried dragon boating yet then jump on board the hottest new club in Australia. This sport will challenge, exhaust, inspire and completely change your life. Dragon boating opens doors you never knew existed and exposes you to the craziest bunch of knuckleheads to call teammates.
Check us out on Facebook or watch us terrorise the locals on Sunday mornings as we rampage out of Currambene Creek racing dolphins. If you are aged under 50, fit and motivated, familiar with the gym and ready to try something that will rock your world, then Mako Paddle Club is calling.
